Mr. Erwin’s practice focuses on individuals and privately held businesses. His practice includes all aspects of estate, gift and income tax planning and compliance. Mr. Erwin is also experienced with corporate transactional issues, including the formation, maintenance and dissolution of corporations, partnerships and limited liability companies. Additionally, Mr. Erwin has developed an expertise in the emerging life settlement industry, including trust management and administration, escrow services, structuring and formation of funding entities, and regulatory compliance. Mr. Erwin is an active member of the California State Bar and holds memberships in the Orange County Bar Associations and American Bar Association. Additionally, he is licensed to practice before the United States District Court (Central District) and the United States Tax Court. Prior to founding ERWIN & JOHNSONLLP, Mr. Erwin was a Senior Associate at Arthur Andersen, LLP and a Manager with myCFO, Inc., providing advanced income tax, charitable and estate and gift planning for high net worth individuals and families. Mr. Erwin received his Juris Doctor degree from Chapman University School of Law and completed Chapman’s Tax Law Emphasis Program. While at Chapman he was awarded the Dean’s Award for Academic Excellence in Business Planning. Mr. Erwin also received his undergraduate degree in Political Science from Chapman University. |
